Prayer Needs and Praises

• Iran Strikes. Please pray for God's wisdom and mercy as the US has initiated continues military action against in Iran this week which led to the death of their leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Please pray that our actions are guided by wisdom, and for a quick resolution that leads to long-term peace. Please also pray for our Christian brothers and sisters on the ground, as well the underground churches who will be ministering in a new environment.

• Our church’s mission is to Welcome sojourners home to the joy of following Jesus together, and our current vision is Expanding the Tent. Pray for us as we pursue this mission and vision together, that the Lord would give us grace and passion to reconnect with Him, with each other, and with our neighbors in the unity of the Spirit. Pray that our church would continue to take steps of faith toward worshiping and fellowshiping together in person, to more deeply experience His presence in community.

• Brother Ching Wern Tye. He was a former deacon of W who now resides in California. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer. May the Lord uphold him and his family with His mighty hand, granting them peace. Watch over the upcoming treatment plans and arrangements. Move the hearts of brothers and sisters to support this family with love, walking together through this difficult time, and experiencing the Lord's faithful presence.
• Those employed in education and academic fields. We give thanks to God for their work. Pray for the Lord’s extra grace for a strong start to the new school year. Pray that the teachers have a deep sense of joy in the Lord. May the Lord help them to exercise their faith and bring God-inspired influence to students and other faculty members. 

• Pray for Family H in East Asia:

1) Pray for Bro. and Sis. H's Mandarin group ministry, for God to build strong, godly relationships and soften the hearts of non-believers attendees.

2) Pray for ongoing gospel work in Thailand, especially for a local believer, Sam, and his brother, and for Bro. and Sis. H to be able to connect with local pastors to support them.

• Pray for Paulo & Clara in Spain:

1) Praise the Lord for the connections they made with new friends with their mutual passion at the FMX/Exponential conference. Pray that these relationships will grow into long-term partnerships for the sake of God's work in Europe.

• Thank God for bringing new teachers to our Children’s Sunday School this spring. We are so grateful for their willingness to give their time and care to help our children grow spiritually. May the Lord give them wisdom and strength. As they prepare, teach, and care for the children, may they experience His abundant grace and serve with joy.

• Summer Intern. Please pray for God to raise up young leaders to serve as our Summer Intern. Pray that this internship would be a season of deep spiritual formation and joyful service. May God use this role to bless our youth and cultivate the next generation of faithful leaders.

• Life group and small group leaders. Please continue to pray that the Lord would guide our life groups and their shepherds to continue to pursue our mission to welcome sojourners home by inviting our non-believing friends and family members into our homes.
• Young Adults. As the young adults gather for their monthly fellowship at the Houston Rodeo, we pray for both new friends as well as increasing bonds of friendship among the young adults, as we continue to grow as a body in Christ!

• Please pray for the Cantonese fellowship spring outing on April 11. Pray for the brothers and sisters in charge of planning, that our Lord grant them wisdom and unity as they serve together. Pray for good weather and that many Gospel friends will join us.

• Pray for the church’s 40-day Digital Fast during Lent. Ask God to move more brothers and sisters’ hearts to choose to intentionally realign their attention, and to re-center their lives once again on Him.
• Pray for the preparation and coordination between co-workers for the parenting course that will be jointly offered by the Children’s Ministry this summer.

• Ps. Andy Lee, Min. Andrew Pua, Ps. I-Ming Huang. Pray that the Holy Spirit would anoint and protect their bodies, minds, and spirits as they prepare their sermons for Sunday, April 5.

• Our neighbor New Life Church on Hammerly and its pastor, Ps. Brett Smith. Pray for spiritual growth in their ministry.
• Chinese Baptist Church and its pastor, Ps. Donald Gardner. Pray for CBC’s ministry and pray for the Lord to use them to reach many unreached and raise many committed disciples.
